He developed a career as a broadcaster at O Grande Jornal Falado Tupi, as well as worked on Rádio Tupi, Diários Associados and Rádio Difusora.
In the last years of his career, he gained respect throughout Brazil for his involvement with the municipalist movement and, mainly, for the deep and analysed comments he made in the Great Newspaper Falado Tupi and matutino Tupi. His comments were insightful, short and, at the same time, profound, all made impromptu.
In his honor, his name was used to baptize Avenida Corifeu de Azevedo Marques, in the neighborhood of Butantã, São Paulo.
